DVD Cases

In the same way that Jewel Cases are synonymous with the CD album, DVD Cases have the same association with DVD movies; virtually all DVDs sold at retail are supplied in clear DVD cases or black DVD cases.

The DVD cases are manufactured in one piece and have a clear film running round the outside behind which a printed inlay (wrap) can be placed. Inside the case the disc is located on a hub to the right, whilst on the inside left panel there are two moulded clips that will hold printed booklets. Whilst most cases have a 14mm spine, a slimline version is also available with a 7mm spine. The DVD case is most common in the clear or black formats, but it is also available in a broad range of colours.
